Back to Karkand: Gulf of Oman gameplay

Check out this gameplay trailer from Dice's reimagined version of Gulf of Oman. Like in previous Back to Karkand trailers, you can see some of the new vehicles in action here. The three combat vehicles that we are bringing back from Battlefield 2 in Back to Karkand are the STOVL fighter jet, desert buggy, and one of the APC’s.
"I wanted to complement what we already have in the base game, plus I wanted to bring back some of the classic vehicles from Battlefield 2 that we know players loved, such as the Short Take-Off/Vertical Landing fighter jet and the desert buggy. In today’s trailer, you can also get a first glimpse of a hitherto unannounced fourth vehicle bound to strike fear into the very hearts of the enemy. See if you can spot it!", said Back to Karkand Lead Designer Niklas Fegraeus.
Come back later for more details on Back to Karkand. We have more videos coming your way, and more details on the new Back to Karkand weapons that you can bring back to the base game.

Insomnia 44 - Team Rush wins twice @ i44

Team Rush doing it again.
Following their recently victory over Epsilon in the 4pl opening cup. Team Rush sent two teams to i44 as previously announced this week. Both teams ended up in the second group, Group B. Following the group stages Rush had only lost one game, to themselves. Moving on to the double elimination stage of the tournament, Rush and Rush2 managed to continue their impressive run with victories over both Team Woob and AG. This put both of Rush-Zones teams into the upper bracket semi-finals, where Rush-Zone would have to play THN and Rush-Zone 2 would have to face TCM-Gaming.
Rush-Zone managed to secure the victory over THN with a 285 ticket deficit. However, Rush's second team was knocked into the lower brackets losing out to TCM by 240 tickets.
This meant Rush-Zones first team would then have to play TCM-Gaming in the winner brackets finals and secured the minimum of a third place finish. Rush-Zones second team would then have to face UP, following their 200 ticket victory they then had to face either TCM-Gaming who recently knocked them down into the lower bracket or Rush-Zones first team.
Team Rush wins the first Battlefield 3 Tournament!
Yesterday saw both Epsilon eSports and Team Rush battle it out in a very climactic final of the 4pl's 8on8 conquest cup. On paper the game looked like it would be a very interesting match and this was proven by it ending in just a narrow margin of 5 tickets. However, Team Rush managed to clinch the game away using old school BF2 tactics of holding spawns and taking first place of the first and largest Battlefield 3 tournament to date so far.
Twenty four teams entered 4pl's Launch day conquest cup which was sponsored by Razer.
The tournament first got underway with Teheran Highway being the first map. Rush drew a bye and quickly waited the two hours for the second round to start. In the second round they drew up against Division Wüstenfuchs (Desert Fox) and the match promptly got underway with Rush managing to defeat their opponents and move through to the third round. Coming from Seine Crossing their next match was to be played on Grand Bazaar against a team called GIVE IT ALL e.V. Unfortunately, giving it their all was not good enough to topple Team Rush who once again promptly managed to secure the victory. Rush managed to prove themselves once again in the semi-finals on Kharg Island and proceeded to the finals where they met up with Epsilon.
Battlefield 3 @ Multiplay Insomnia i44

The time has come once again for this years winter Insomnia Gaming festival !
This year has seen the release of many FPS titles with one falling after the other out of sight, but with the rise of Battlefield 3 is sure to breathe life into the genre for the better. Give thanks to the kind people at Multiplay who have put up £1000 for this years BF3 tournament at i44 which is to be the first offline prize tournament for the game. The format for this festival is set to be 6v6 Conquest Infantry Only, which allows more flexibility in smaller groups attending to allow them to play in the tournament without needing 8 players.
Luckily for Rush Zone we have so many of our Battlefield 3 players attending the festival that it allows us to field two teams of 6 players. Could this mean an all Rush final?
Good luck to all who are entering a team, we'll see you on the Battlefield soldiers :)
