An explaination to anyone watching other then the ebuyer technical department, whom this video is intended for, what I am doing and why I am doing it.
A couple of weeks ago I purchased various parts from ebuyer to build an entry level gaming system.
Once the parts arrived I built the system and tried to power it up. It wouldn't power up. It powered on for about a second and then powered itself off again. I tried various things but to no avail. At that point it looked like it was either a faulty PSU or a faulty motherboard. I didn't have a spare PSU lying about and I didn't fancy ripping out the PSU from my main rig so I borrowed a spare one from a friend.
With my friend's PSU the system powered up 1st time without a problem. I did a quick install of windows 7 then tried the original PSU again, and again it would power on for about a second and then power itself off again.
So I raised an RMA with ebuyer.com from where I purchased the PSU. A few days after the PSU was returned to them they wrote back saying there was no fault with the PSU and they were going to send it back to me.
When ebuyer told me they were sending the PSU back to me because they had tested it and it worked fine, I was so confident that it wouldn't work once I received it back, I ordered another PSU from elsewhere online. One from a decent brand. Yes, yes, maybe I should have brought a decent brand in the first place, but the whole point was to be low budget and stay within budget.
What I am going to do is open the returned box on camera, get out the Casecom PSU from it, plug it in system and show that is does not work. Then open the second box get the PSU out of that, plug that in and show that it does work. Then upload this video to YouTube. Contact ebuyer, direct them to this video and demand a refund for the Casecom PSU while reminding ebuyer I will never buy anything from them every again due to the unreliability of there returns/technical department.
